1.  WORLDLY friend of vain value be

     All but to vanity I know

     No bossom friend like Christ Jesus.

2.  Christ Jesus bossom friend I’ll make 

     No friend like Christ Jesus I found 

     Who loved us to death on the cross.

3.  I have no friend no one to call 

     Before and behind none I see
   
     No sympathiser none is nigh.

4.  Now to Thee, Jesus I will cling
